Pick the app that fits the job.
templobe is a good fit if you…
need to transcribe a folder of English audio files, not one recording at a time
want batch work without buying a higher-priced tier
handle confidential interviews or client calls that cannot go to a cloud service
work on an Apple silicon Mac and can live with English-only transcription for now
A paid Mac app may be the better choice if you…
need multiple languages today
need speaker labels or speaker diarization
want meeting recording, calendar integrations, or a mature editing workflow
need video files transcribed directly
need a long-established app with a larger feature set

Questions about choosing a Mac transcription app.
How does templobe compare with paid Mac transcription apps?
For batch transcription of English audio on a Mac, templobe keeps processing local and includes batch work in its free beta. Paid apps often cover more languages, speaker labels and meeting features, but may charge for batch work or require an upgrade.
Does templobe upload my audio?
No. Speech recognition runs on your Mac with local models. There is no upload step.
Is batch transcription free?
Yes during the beta. Beta users keep free transcription permanently. Future paid features are optional add-ons such as summaries, translation and vocabulary packs.
Which files can I use?
mp3, wav and m4a audio files. Up to 50 files per batch, 2GB per file and 5GB total. Video files are not supported.
Which languages are supported?
English today. More languages are on the roadmap.
Do I need an account?
Yes, one account to activate the app. It is not used for transcription and never sees your audio. After signing in once, the app works offline.
Does it work offline?
Yes after the first sign-in and model download. Airplane mode is a supported state.
Can it label speakers?
Not yet. Speaker labels are not available in this beta.
